Almost 200 years old, the Lora del Río Fair is brimming with tradition. Twenty four stands with an unbeatable location and a stunning horse ride, make the Lora’s fair one of the most attractive in the province.
The fair is celebrated during the last Thursday of the month of May until Sunday.
Until the 18th century, the Lora del Río Fair was celebrated on the day of the Patroness, Our Lady of Setefilla, that is, on September 8, and it was celebrated in the portals and around the church.
It was around 1819 when the first edition of the Fair or Livestock Market was held, in the current enclave, Alameda del Río.
